I haven't tried the acme or the inner clock stuff but i can't imagine how they could be better in any way, and at about half the price. Once were happy with what we got going, we clock it from protools 10 with the trig sample from e-rm's homepage via a separate output on the avid hardware and multitrack all the stuff, works every time. Its really great to work with other people say f.ex one is doing a beat on a 808 and im setting up a sequence on the beatstep with the ability to start/stop my sequence for further tweaks or whatever, without starting/stopping everything and thereby interupting the other guys flow. It has changed my way of working now to more or less completely OTB, because i dont have to start my daw anymore to start jamming. Everything is easily programmed via the LCD with a minimum of menu diving, so the usb isn't a must if its only used for sync. I only use it for sync of ext gear, but since i've got the USB version it can also be used as a standalone midi interface, midi mapper or midicontroller. I've made my own 5 pole din to mini jack whip that follows the normal dinsync standard, so f.ex for my arp sequencer it outputs clock on pin 3 and start/stop/reset on pin 1. It even outputs a trigger strong enough to clock my OB8 arpeggiator, something thats been kind of a problem up until now. that skips the first clock out so that my arp sequencer (which resets to 1 and then starts from 2) is on the same step as my 808, 909 and beatstep pro. Hasn't dropped a beat and its 4 completely independent channels each output either din, clock, midi or LFO with its own offset, shuffle, divisions or f.ex trig sk. With that in mind, is there any way to delay the start of the clock in Numerology by a bar, once it receives a start message - whether in standalone or rewire mode? Alternatively, is there a better solution? I can't be the only one using the MultiClock in this way.I've had mine for about a month and its been rock solid so far, both the timing and the build itself.
MULTICLOCK ONLINE HOW TO
It appears that Numerology is being started via Rewire, rather than a MIDI or MTC signal, as I've turned all of the MIDI/sync inputs off in Numerology - and I'm not sure how to adjust it further. This causes a problem, because Numerology starts playing as soon as the transport is activated within Logic - and so the Numerology sequences will always be one bar ahead of anything else I decide to add in or synch. The multi-clock has a 1 bar count in to get the tempo synched, before kicking off its clock to send to other synths/the Euro, etc.

I have a problem that I can't figure out. I have an ERM Multi-clock which takes an audio out from Numerology or Logic and becomes the master. That old dusty Launchpad I had lying around is proving its use.Īnyway, I want to use Numerology to control my Eurorack + other hardware synths, recording into Logic. Finally got my act together and decided to give it a proper go - coming from an almost purely hardware setup.
